2024 Guest Speaker: tawn battiste

Tawn Battiste began her work in the church at the young age of 12, helping and assisting in Bible School.  Praise the Lord, He protected her for the next decade!

Tawn taught public school for thirty three years and began as an educator in church in 1991.  She has held various church positions, from adult teacher and yourth leader to Evangelism Coordinator.

In 2000, Tawn helped establish 'Sistes in Christ', an annual women's event which gathered thousands of women in the next fifteen years to worship and share the Good News.  After retiring from public education in 2014 Tawn began her current venture of Woohoo Ministries, speaking with women at events and retreats to the joy that can be found in Christ.  She wakes each morning asking God, "What can I do for You today?" and follows His lead.  She looks forward to all God has for her on her faith journey and trusts His divine guidance.  She continues to speak to women's groups throughout the state.  Earlier this year, she thought she was finished being a speaker, but God continues to open doors, and she has promised to always go through them.
